Invisalign

Invisalign is a clear, removable aligner system designed to cosmetically straighten teeth. Invisalign uses a custom-made series of aligners that are virtually invisible and fit completely over your teeth when worn. Unlike traditional braces, the Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners that straighten your teeth over time. Invisalign aligners are made with 3-D computer imaging technology and have been proven to be effective.

How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign works using a series of clear, removable aligners. The aligners are custom-created to fit your mouth and are designed to be smooth and comfortable. You wear each aligner for about two weeks, removing it only when you eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move until they have straightened to the final position.

Is Invisalign treatment right for you?

The most common complaint that adults have about their smiles is crooked teeth. This can have a detrimental effect on their self-esteem. Luckily, Invisalign is a modern orthodontic solution that includes a series of custom-made, clear aligners that gradually shift your teeth into alignment. Invisalign not only provides patients with straighter teeth but also allows them to improve their oral health.

Invisalign aligners are removable, which makes maintaining good oral hygiene very easy. Patients simply need to brush and floss their teeth like normal, and they are able to remove the aligners as necessary. When they wear the aligners, they do not have to worry about food particles getting stuck in the brackets and wires of braces.

Cost and duration of Invisalign

The cost of Invisalign treatment varies depending on the complexity of the case and how many sets of aligners are needed. Our treatment coordinator can discuss the cost of your treatment and financing options with you.

The length of your Invisalign treatment depends on the complexity of your issues. On average, Invisalign treatment takes between 6 and 24 months to complete. However, this estimate should only be used as a baseline. Your treatment could be shorter or longer depending on the complexity of your issues and your dedication to treatment.

Are there any foods that I should avoid with Invisalign?

No. You shouldn’t have any trouble eating normally with Invisalign. Just remember to brush your teeth after every meal and snack, as well as floss once a day. Unlike metal braces, Invisalign aligners can be taken out for eating, drinking, and cleaning. However, it is important to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours per day for the best results.
